Happy!
I completely switched my housing group/situation for next year! I was planning on living with Jin and Anna and another girl, Lindsay from down the hall... and living in Gregg, which is the sopohomore equivalent of my dorm (Lien). But then last weekend, a friend from my spanish class last semester called and said she has one more spot to fill in her suite and would I wanna join their group? And I said no at first because I had already committed to my people, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wanted to do it! Melanie and I studied a ton together last semseter and she is truely a lovely girl!! I know one of the other girls in the group too. Her name is Libby and we met last year at Multicultural weekend. She is super sweet as well! The other two, another Melanie and Marli, I didn't know at all, but I figured I really do want to meet more people and to open up my circle of friends!
So all that pretty much happened over night. And in the end... i called melanie back and went for it! unfortunately, we were still one girl short because we would be living in the six person traditional suite (the OLD dorms... not at all like the hotel that i am currently living in haha). I am actually excited to be living there, althought I haven't actually been inside one. It is two doubles and two singles and then a bathroom and a huge common room! It should be really neat! and its $2000 cheaper woohoo!
so we still had the problem of finding me a roommate... cuz melanie #1 and libby would take one double and melanie 2 and marli would each take a single. i texted a few of my friends but since its pretty late in the process most people already have their groups. but then... one of my friends who I know pretty well and who had said she already had a group changed her mind and decided to come with us! it couldn't have worked out better! i have a friend that i know really well as my roommate and a whole new group to get to know next year!
I'm super excited to hang out with them this semester and do fun stuff with them and then all live together next year! it'll be great!!
and the crappy really quick... i've got 4 minutes!!
i was in spanish 307 but i did horribly on the first composition and my prof talked to me and said she really didn't think i was ready for this class and that i didn't have the foundation necessary for that level. :/ it sucked. i had really enjoyed spanish last semster but to hear that you're not good enough for the next level was crushing.
she suggested that i take 301 which is an oral course and is muchhhhh easier. so i decided i would do it. i had one day before the drop period ended and so i made the switch and in the end it has been a great decision! i was pretty disappointed last week but now i'm feeling much better about it!
okay gotta run!
